Designing this room involves precise, detailed planning. One aspect of this is the use of natural, high quality materials. Another is the modern arrangement of areas for bodycare, relaxation and tranquility. There also is a space set apart for the toilet. Integrated into the rest of the home, bathroom and bedroom form a single unit. Separated from each other by sliding doors, if at all, both rooms simply flow into each other.

An Important Advice

How could I finish it before giving you a couple of important tips about how to design your floor or wall with ceramictiles! Here are some important ideas about the different sizes that should be used perfectly. For an attractive floor,  only 1m X 1m tiles (1sq.mtrs/tile) should be used. As 12 X 12 is now out of trend and 18 X 18 is suitable for wooden planks. For walls, only 12” X 12” (1sq.ft/tile) should be used.

Hire the expert fixers as a newbie will probably make the mess of your floor. All ceramic tiles  should be in level and all the tiles should be in a straight line horizontally and vertically. Once I had chosen the expensive ceramics tiles for one of my room’s floor and unfortunately got an inexperienced fixer. He left the same defect while fixing as mentioned above. I now having no choice but to regret whenever I see my apparently spoiled floor with the most expensive ceramic tiles.

Wooden Flooring

Besides ceramics tiles, wooden tiles are trending and best choice for a floor. Wooden tiles are mostly being preferred in offices and bedrooms. Now a day, bamboo flooring has been introduced and is often used as an alternative for wooden tiles. Wooden flooring comparatively has more elasticity and flexibility than bamboo flooring. Although bamboo flooring is a little cheaper and so the quality is lower. So, when you are going to make your purchase for wooden flooring, make sure it’s wood and not bamboo.

Wooden tiles are available in wide range of sizes/dimensions and styles. The most beautiful and preferable size is 6”*48” which is widely known as plank. This is the most used size globally.

There is a choice either to go for underlay or not. Now it depends if the noise of wood is desired while walking or not. Although mostly people use underlay which minimizes the sound but there are many who want the noise and don’t use underlay. There’s no negative effect on the floor in case underlay is not used.
